DASH — CAR AND EV INSTRUMENTS

A car dashboard that drives itself in a loop. Touch any control and the car is yours: gears, signals, speed, charge.

Speed: A speedometer whose needle eases to its target. Drag the scale to set the speed.
Power: Battery power in kW: drive to the right, regen to the left when the car brakes.
Range: Range on an arc tied to the battery. Drag the arc to set the charge and watch the km follow.
Gear: A P R N D gear selector. Tap a gear and the ring glides to it.
Signals: Turn signals and hazards that flash on the shared clock, in step with the rest of the board.
Battery: A battery pack of dot cells. Plug it in to watch it charge, or brake to see regen.
Nav: A nav strip: the next turn, the distance to it and the street name in dot type.
Road: The road ahead in perspective: lanes moving at your speed, a bend, a stop line, brake lights.
Drive: The loop that drives the board: pull away, cruise, signal, brake. Touch any control to take over.
